Study underlines economic impact of Leeds Beckett University

The university’s £503m impact from purchasing and staff spending sustains a further 4,015 jobs in the wider economy. Two-thirds of these are in West Yorkshire.
Leeds Beckett University produces a benefit-to-cost ratio of 6.1:1. This means that every £1 LBU spends generates a further £6.10 in the wider economy. The analysis by internationally-renowned consultants London Economics follows the recent results of the Research Excellence Framework demonstrating the scale of world-leading and internationally excellent research being conducted by the university.
