This year, the Islamic festival of Ramadan is predicted to start on 10 March and finish on 8 April.
Prayer facilities and designated spaces for the Breaking of the Fast will be available to students and colleagues at the following locations across both City and Headingley Campuses:
Prayer spaces:
City Campus
Woodhouse Building, first floor
Headingley Campus
The Grange, Ground Floor
The former student living room space, Campus Central
Breaking of the Fast:
Colleagues and students are welcome to break their fast within the prayer facilities listed above with water or small snacks.
We respectfully ask, however, that more substantial meals are taken to the below locations, which will be made available between 17:45 and 21:00.

Communal Social Space, Student’s Union, Portland Building
Gaia Café
Headingley Campus
The former Student Living Room
Group seating, microwaves and water will be made available for use in these areas, as well as extra rubbish bins
