In 2025, 330 postgraduate researchers took part in the survey, giving a response rate of 55 per cent. Overall satisfaction rose to 83.6 per cent, with consistently strong feedback on supervision, research skills and access to resources. The findings also show that while support has improved, building a stronger sense of community and research culture remains a key priority.
We are already acting on what you told us. Over the past year, we've introduced new writing retreats, expanded our development programme, and created more opportunities for PGRs to connect through events and online communities. These actions form part of our ongoing commitment to improving the postgraduate research experience across the university.
PRES is run in partnership with Advance HE and Jisc and will take place in 2027.
