Project Description

Developing A Sustainable Management Tool For Controlling Damp In

This study aims to develop a sustainable management tool (SMT) for damp management in residential buildings. It focuses on three key objectives: identifying the best damp diagnostic measures, determining the most effective remedial measures, and developing methods to identify at-risk homes and prevent future moisture issues. The study utilizes site measurements,  statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques. Expert consultation and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) are used to rank available damp measures against criteria such as effectiveness, feasibility, cost-effectiveness, expertise availability, social factors, and compliance with legal, safety, ethical, and environmental standards.
