Elliot Walker

I am 20 years old, and I have just finished my second year currently studying Architectural Technology at Leeds Beckett University. I have thoroughly enjoyed my second year getting to grips with new software to improve my understanding to further my career. I consider myself a confident and fast learner and I love to dig my teeth into a challenge. I would like to become a Charted Architectural Technologist in the future as I like learning about buildings and not just designing them.

I have always had a job since I was younger because I like to be motivated and to be part of a team to work towards a goal, as I do not like sitting around doing nothing. I loved creative subjects at school but unfortunately didn’t take any up at a level and the decision to move back to something more innovative to really get me thinking and doing was the best decision I ever made. I have devoted the whole of this year to prove to myself I can do well in this subject after not getting a proper first year as it was all online. I like to be challenged to learn and improve constantly and when a project is started, I feel dedicated to ensuring it is the best it can be.

When I can I love to travel to get inspiration from a large variety of old a new building from around the world I have just recently been to the modern art museum in Luxemburg and the building was incredible. I aim to become a team player among fellow technologists and architects to create buildings that I would live to visit myself, that don’t just look good, they function well and are sustainable.
