Sophie is a part-time lecturer and Research Assistant at the Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University. A smart and result-oriented professional, her experience and expertise spans diverse industries ranging from legal practice and academia to research, and business support.

Sophie is a part-time lecturer and Research Assistant at Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University. She holds a Master’s degree with Distinction in International Human Rights Law and Development from the University of Bradford. Passionate about the intersection of law and technology, her research interests include legal technology, AI and innovation, international human rights, and tech governance. In her role as Research Assistant, Sophie supports the activities of research groups under the Centre for Justice, Law and Policy (JULAP). She has also played a key role in the development and launch of the Legal Tech Blog at Leeds Law School, which she currently manages. As an early career researcher, Sophie is committed to promoting the safe and ethical use of AI and emerging technologies. She looks forward to commencing her PhD studies and expanding her experience in teaching and academic research.
