Students have been asked for this Design Studio module to propose a public programme for a medium-sized building on the River Aire waterfront in Leeds city centre. The building should comprise a public programme that students need to define. With a strong emphasis on research, contextual engagement and design speculation, this project focuses on the opportunities offered by public programmes that respond to the physical, cultural and social conditions of a site and its wider context.
