Steve and Bo met at the University whilst both studying for their BA (Hons) Architecture degree and went on to found their own practice McCloy + Muchemwa in 2017, following their winning entry in a competition to design a pop-up pavilion at Leeds Art Gallery. McCloy previously worked at MAD Architects, AHMM and Hugh Broughton Architects, and Muchemwa at RSHP, CZWG and Burwell Architects.

They have subsequently gone on to win numerous high-profile competitions at the London Festival of Architecture and were among the finalists to create a new promenade at Butler’s Wharf near Tower Bridge in London. The Architect's Journal predicts they will undoubtedly have 'plenty more career-defining moments ahead.
