We’re delighted to say that the building works in room JG250 at the Headingley Campus Library have been largely completed and the results look great.

Seating in JG250 this includes settees, invidual study chairs and group tables

The variety of furniture has really transformed the room. The “huts” at one end are particularly popular for study. At the other end of the room are 26 PCs and 8 workstations with laptop docks, all with two monitors available.

We’ve received some really excellent feedback about the project from a whiteboard located in the room for this purpose, and are always happy to receive comments via our usual contact channels, too.

Every building project includes a period of “snagging” to finish off the last bits and correct problems. We’re aware that some trailing cables need to be tidied up, and our Estates team is looking into the provision of additional charging points.

We also received some suggestions for a better name for this room than “JG250” and are happy to announce that we’ve chosen The Loft to reflect its location on the top floor of the building and its updated aesthetic.

Study are in JG250 with table seating, settees and hanging partitions to break up the space.

Please stop by The Loft and try it out for your studies!
