On Tuesday 10th December, the School's Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber along with G4C Yorkshire, CIOB Yorkshire and thinkBIM networks hosted their inaugural festive quiz at the Head of Steam pub on Park Row in Leeds. There were thirteen teams in attendance who participated in eight rounds of quizzing with sections on Christmas movies, music, capital cities, Christmas-themed dingbats and a whole round dedicated to Die Hard (the greatest christmas movie of all time according to CEYH Chair, Tom Oulton). The quiz was eventually won by a team from Watson Batty Architects who took away the CEYH Quiz official trophy along with a bottle of prosecco and some drinks vouchers. A team representing CIOB Yorkshire were this year’s runners up.

Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, the event raised a fantastic £350 for Crash – the construction charity. Crash are a practical charity that assist homelessness and hospice charities with construction related projects, creating places that care for people. Their work is nationwide and you can find out more about their projects and activities on their website a crash.org.uk.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported the event and congratulations to our winners!
