Newton Researcher Funded Workshop in Malaysia
Alys Griffiths, Research Fellow, attended a three day workshop in Kuala Lumpur that examined how health and well-being can be improved for those living in rural and urban Malaysia.
The workshop was attended by 30 early career researchers from the UK and Malaysia. Two Malaysian researchers, Mark and Pui San, were also interested in dementia and care homes research, and will be coming to visit us in Leeds Beckett next year. Alys has been awarded funding to participate in a follow-up two day writing workshop arranged for January in Kuala Lumpur, so will be returning to Malaysia to start working on the first papers with Mark and Pui San.
