Introduced and compered by group lead, Dr Ashley Jones, the event was attended by over 50 delegates ranging from current postgraduate students, colleagues from the School of Sport and other HE institutions, and also local MSK practitioners.

Speaking about the event, Dr Ashley Jones said:

“As a group we like to arrange an annual event to showcase the great work our students and staff are producing here in Leeds. However, this year, it was decided that a larger-scale event would be beneficial, to firstly create an attractive CPD day for delegates and more importantly, to encourage academics and practitioners to attend and discuss potential future collaborations.

“The event was a big success, and it was pleasing to see such a range of attendees at the end of what has been a busy academic year. The talks were all engaging and the discussions that took place over lunch between presenters and delegates appeared to foster some new shared research interests. Events such as these are crucial for the group to expand, and the last couple of years have prevented such gatherings.

“Finally, on behalf of the group, I would like to thank our School Director of Research, Professor Gary Jones, for his support for the event – we are already looking forward to next year!”
