Travelling

If you are a student who commutes from a nearby city, or you have plans to take trips around the UK, I definitely recommend getting a railcard which will give you discounts up to 30% off the original ticket price!

If you are looking to use the public buses for daily transportation, then I recommend downloading the First Bus app. From the app you will be able to buy student tickets for much cheaper prices.

Shopping

When shopping, keep an eye on all the discount cards you can get from stores such as Boots, Morrisons, Superdrug's, H&B, and the list goes on. These cards are very useful, and you can have them online as well!

Other than the cards, there are other applications such as UNiDAYS, Student Beans, and Tutom which can give you up to 20% discounts in lots of stores in the UK.

Note: Always bring your student card with you wherever you go, and make sure to ask shops if they have student discounts as a lot of them do have them but will never tell you.

Food

If you are a foodie and would like to try something new to save money, then why not try too good to go? It is basically an app that helps customers find restaurants that are willing to sell the food that hasn’t been sold during the day for a cheaper price. Keep in mind, these are not leftovers, just extra food that wasn’t able to sell that day! You often get more than 50% off your goody bags.

I hope you found this blog helpful. Be sure to make the most out of your discounts before it is too late.
