The programme will cover the key areas of competency required by the NMC and set out in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society document (RPS 2016) 'A Single Competency Framework for all Prescribers'. By the end of the programme you must be able to evidence and/or demonstrate competency in the following areas: assess the patient, consider the options, reach a shared decision, prescribe, provide information, monitor and review, prescribe safely, prescribe professionally, improve prescribing practice, prescribe as part of a team.
