Taro Tsuruta established Tsuruta Architects in 2006. His original designs are informed by an exacting understanding of construction technology, combined with a deep respect for light, materials, context and the practicalities of everyday life. The practice has enjoyed critical acclaim for their inventive and alternative approach to domestic scale projects such as Marie’s Wardrobe and House of Trace. Numerous industry awards include RIBA’s Stephen Lawrence Prize 2016.
