Paul will present the latest economic update and outlook for our region. How is the economy performing with the cost-of-living squeeze and what the prospects are for inflation, interest rates and the energy market?
Paul will be introduced by John Bullock, Head of Strategic Finance, Yorkshire & North East, with Virgin Money. Virgin Money and Yorkshire Bank before have a long-standing association with Leeds Beckett University and this annual economic prospects lecture.
From Leeds Business School, Olga Munroe will be fielding questions from those attending for Paul.
Paul is an experienced economist and financial analyst whose career has spanned the civil service, the National Health Service, management consultancy and investment banking. He has experience of working in several sectors of the economy, including transport, energy, telecoms, health and education.
John Bullock is Head of Strategic Finance, Yorkshire & North East at Virgin Money, serving the SME, Structured Finance and Corporate Banking marketplace across the region. Previously Director – Corporate and Structured Finance at Yorkshire Bank, John has been in banking for almost 20 years.
Olga Munro is Head of the Retail Institute at Leeds Beckett University, a research centre that specialises in innovation and consumer behaviour in relation to retail.
