Echoes, Listen to the light
Cities remember. Every wall carries a memory. Every street holds the rhythm of countless footsteps. Every window has witnessed moments of joy, protest, love, loss and celebration. The city is alive with voices—some loud, some whispered, many unseen. Echoes invites you to pause and listen. Step closer. Listen carefully. The city is speaking.

Echoes, Listen to the Light is an immersive piece of visual theatre created through a large-scale outdoor collaboration between undergraduate and postgraduate students from Leeds Beckett University's Performing Arts, Dance and Choreography, Theatre and Performance programmes, with contributions from Sound Design and Cinematography students.

Designed by Gillian Dyson in collaboration with Level 5 Performing Arts students, the production features sound design by Ben Winter alongside MA Sound Design student Eve Tattersall and Performing Arts students Rachel Adams and Ollie Davies.

As part of Light Night Leeds 2026, within the Millennium Square Zone, the production will transform and illuminate the Rose Bowl Car Park through a series of captivating performances across two evenings.
