That's what #WECAN Connects is all about. Connecting you with women, businesses and available support to help you as a woman entrepreneur, woman founder or woman in business.
For our very first #WECAN Connects we'll be bringing together entrepreneurs, founders and supporting ecosystem organisations for a day of celebration, connection building and co-working.
Who are we?
Led by Leeds Business School at Leeds Beckett University in partnership with Lloyds Bank Business and Commercial, the #WECAN Network is a community of omen, businesses and supporting organisations.
To put it simply:
#WECAN (women empowered through coaching and networking) initially started as a three year project part funded by the European Social Fund.
Led by Leeds Beckett University and working in partnership with Edge Hill University and SEYH (Social Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber) the project built the leadership skills, capabilities, and opportunities of over 900 women from over 300 SMEs, charities and social enterprises in the Leeds City Region.
Whilst the project came to an end officially in December 2023, our commitment to supporting women and organisations has only grown and we continue to support, champion and connect women in leadership through the #WECAN Network
