Ali Jawad is a British Paralympic powerlifter and one of the most accomplished athletes in para powerlifting history. He represented Great Britain in the men’s -59kg weight class and is widely respected for his resilience, consistency, and elite-level performance.
A four-time Paralympian and Paralympic medallist, he is also a World Champion, two-time European Champion, two-time Commonwealth Games Medallist, former World Record holder in his weight category and World no1.
Ali has overcome significant health challenges throughout his career, repeatedly returning to compete at the highest level. He is also an ambassador for disability sport, promoting inclusion, resilience, anti-doping and opportunity through his advocacy and public speaking.
