Ben Thaler

I was 19 years old when I received a phone call while studying at university from the then Director of Referees, Greg McCallum, telling me I had been given my debut in first-team rugby. My connection with Leeds Beckett has never left me, from starting as a student in September 2000, to the sport introducing full-time officials in 2006 when we were based in Cavendish Hall on the site, and now coaching the next generation of match officials nationally who train at the Carnegie School of Sport.
