Michael Shenton is a former England international rugby league player who enjoyed a distinguished Super League career, playing for Castleford Tigers and St Helens. Known for his leadership and consistency at centre, he captained Castleford Tigers to the League Leaders’ Shield in 2017 and was recognised as a Dream Team player 3 times in his career (2014, 2015 & 2017).
Michael made 12 appearances for England, making his debut in 2008 and going on to compete in the Four Nations tournaments and test matches, including appearances against Australia, New Zealand, and Samoa. He scored his first international try in 2010 during a victory over France, establishing himself in the national squad.
Following his playing career, Michael has transitioned into coaching and is Assistant Coach at Wakefield Trinity in the Super League, continuing his contribution to rugby league and supporting the development of players in high performance sport.
