Business experts to speak at Leeds Enterprise Network event
The free Leeds Enterprise Network evening is geared towards students, early stage businesses and entrepreneurs. The Network is a collaborative partnership between the business support services at Leeds Beckett University, Leeds City College and the University of Leeds.
Hosted and supported by The Yorkshire Post, the event will run from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Thursday 12 February at the newspaper’s city centre headquarters at Number 1 Leeds, 26 Whitehall Road, and will cover topics including how business can work innovatively and stay ahead of the competition. Jackie Mulligan, also a Principal Lecturer for Enterprise within the UK Centre for Events Management in the School of Events, Tourism and Hospitality at Leeds Beckett, commented: “This Leeds Enterprise Network event focuses on future trends and new ways of working in a fast-changing economy, responding to technology developments in an increasingly digital online environment. During the evening I will cover what new practices are emerging.”
Daniel Langton, the UK Small to Medium Businesses (SMB) Renewals and Annuity Manager at Microsoft, will discuss how to make the most of technology and how companies can adapt to changing ways of working to make their ventures stronger.
Business Editor Bernard Ginns will talk about the growth and changing face of digital media and how the Yorkshire Post has boosted its online presence.
The evening will include a free buffet and the opportunity to tour the Yorkshire Post’s headquarters.
