Dance academic to perform at UK's biggest Performing Arts showcase
Sarah has been working with Kylie Minogue’s choreographer, Dean Lee, and dance troupe, Skyline, who were voted the Nation’s Best Dance Crew at the Proud 2 Dance O2 Arena awards final in London in 2012. The dance troupe also appeared on the Sky One TV show ‘Got To Dance’ last August.
Skyline will appear on the main stage on Sunday 15 February, with a show celebrating influential women and the qualities that make certain individuals become icons.
Perform/Move It is the biggest performing Arts event in the UK, attracting 50,000 visitors annually to the 3 day show at Olympia, London, which is running from 13-15 February this year.
Final year Dance students will be representing the School and promoting the University at a stand in the Move It exhibition hall. The project is being managed by students Helen Covey and Megan Whiting, following a request from the final year cohort to attend the showcase and spread the word about their course.
The School and University will also be represented at a stand in the Perform exhibition hall, which will be run by Head of Enterprise, Jenny Granville, and School Project Co-ordinator, Dave Turner.
Jenny will also be hosting an actors’ casting surgery with Casting Director Suzy Catliff as part of the official programme, where they will be offering advice to aspiring actors and discussing their book, The Casting Handbook.
