Progress your career with Leeds Beckett open day
The event is taking place on Tuesday 3 March both as a lunchtime drop-in session from 11.30am to 2pm at the city centre Rose Bowl and as an afternoon/evening session from 4.30-7.30pm at both City and Headingley Campuses.
Joe Swan, Postgraduate Marketing Manager at Leeds Beckett, explained: “Postgraduate study at Leeds Beckett is very flexible with courses running full-time, part-time or online to suit the needs of our students. The open day aims to help people to plan their next steps, whether they want to progress their career, change to a new area of work or simply follow a personal interest.”
During the day, guests are encouraged to pop into the University’s Rose Bowl, in the heart of Leeds city centre, where, on level one of the building, there will be information stands hosted by teaching teams of all postgraduate courses at the University as well as staff who can offer specialist advice around fees and the application process. There will also be the opportunity to tour the City Campus.
In the evening, the session will be split across the two campuses according to each course’s location base and there will be the additional opportunity to attend a welcome talk to find out more about life at Leeds Beckett as well as campus tours and a range of course taster sessions, lectures and specialist facility tours.

Alex White, a current student on the MSc Travel Business Leadership course and Head of Sales at Princess Cruises, said: “What impressed me most about my course is that it was developed with leading organisations, such as Carnival Cruises and Thomas Cook. That means the content is up-to-date, relevant and delivers what my leadership team needs. The way lecturers interact with online technology has revolutionised my ideas about studying and I can connect with classmates and tutors wherever I am in the world.”
