Student awarded Yorkshire and the North East’s Women in Property award
Sketch by Choon Wang
Choon Wang, a second year architecture student at the university, won the award after being nominated by course leader and lecturer Dr Claire Hannibal in November last year.
She will progress to the UK final alongside Sheffield Hallam student Katie McManus.
Choon said: “This is a wonderful surprise and I look forward to representing Yorkshire and the North East in the national final with Katie.
“I think it’s fantastic that Women in Property support students in this way; it’s been a hugely rewarding experience.”
The Women in Property awards were created to recognise talent in the industry and encourage other women to join the sector.
There are 14 regional finalists representing universities and regions, before the final winner for the UK is announced in September.
