Support for Bradford businesses to invest in innovation
The free event, Investing in Innovation: Partnerships with Leeds Beckett University in the Bradford City Region, will be held at EXA Networks’ offices on Bolton Road in Bradford, on Thursday 4 October, from 9-11am.
Start-up companies and SMEs are invited to attend the event, which will provide access to funding and advice around innovation projects, and opportunities to network with other small businesses in the region.
While the event has been created to support businesses in Bradford, any Yorkshire-based SME is welcome to attend.
The event will show the ways in which a small business can invest in innovation to help them stand out above the competition. A selection of success stories will be presented to showcase the innovative work of existing companies in the Bradford area who have benefited from academic insight and expert mentoring through Leeds Beckett University.
Jo Griffiths, who manages business growth and innovation projects at Leeds Beckett University, said: “The event will showcase a selection of the projects that we’re currently working on with businesses in Bradford. Attendees will hear direct from those in the business about the benefits of working with Leeds Beckett and gain an understanding of the value to their business of investing in innovation, new technology and new capabilities.
“We hope that businesses, large and small, will want to find out more about working with the university - including the funding available to support their innovation projects.”
