Leeds Beckett University’s Haunted History
The oldest, and allegedly most haunted, building at Leeds Beckett is The Grange which dates back to the 1600s when it was a monastic farm. Current and former staff and students have reported many strange things over the years including feelings of being watched, noises from empty rooms, strange smells and figures being seen in the empty building.
A team of staff and students decided to see if there was anything to the rumours and took part in a ghost hunt exactly one week before Halloween. They were led by resident ghost expert Ian Crossland and paranormal investigator Michael Craven. Noises were heard and Michael reported activity on the specialist equipment he was using which measured electromagnetic fields.
