The world in 2025 debated at Leeds Beckett business lecture
The free, public event was part of the annual Leeds Business School lecture series, sponsored by Yorkshire Bank and was held at the University’s Rose Bowl.
During the lecture Sean, who consults at board level looked to the future, specifically 2025, a significant date in the region with the likely arrival of High Speed 2 (HS2) - a planned high-speed railway between London Euston, the English Midlands, North West England, Yorkshire, and potentially North East England and the Central Belt of Scotland.
He discussed the constraining factors that a business might face and examined how business can prepare effectively. Sean commented: “With all of the change surrounding us, the trick is to spot the opportunities in the discontinuity, whilst also gearing up for a world of continuous change.
“Over the next decade, as we are nudged into an increasingly integrated and transparent world, we will need to learn to share and collaborate in a meaningful way to fully benefit from these opportunities.”
