Journalism students take over Leeds Big Screen
The #LeedsHacks TV news report will cover aspects of local interest and the whole show will be devised, filmed and scripted on the day of the broadcast before being presented live between 16:00 and 16:30 on both days.
Gemma Povey, Screen Manager said: “Leeds Big Screen is delighted to support the students in developing their professional portfolios and evidencing their work experience.
“This a great opportunity for the students to reach a wider audience. It does add a certain amount of pressure, but no different to the pressure that exists in the industries they aim to work in. This type of live public screening will really help them stand out from the crowd in highly competitive industries.”
The students will have the opportunity to view themselves retrospectively on the Leeds Big Screen the following week on November 23 at 16:00.
If you can't make it to Millennium Square you can watch live wherever you are by using the watch-live player on the Big Screen website, which is compatible with desktop computers, IOS and Android mobile devices.
