Entrepreneurs are invited to attend a free event to find out how a new initiative from Leeds Beckett University, Wakefield Council and Wakefield College can boost their early-stage and growing businesses.
Taking place on Wednesday 13 December from 3-5pm, at the new Business Centre in Wakefield, located at 6-8 Bond Terrace, guests will be taken on a guided tour of the new space, which will open for business in January.
Attendees can find out more about the services and facilities available at the Bond Terrace Business Centre and its sister site at Wakefield College. Both sites offer affordable office services and meeting spaces to early-stage and growing businesses, as well as access to professional business lounges and meeting facilities across Wakefield including at Wakefield One.
Through the University’s Business Centre, businesses can access a wide range of support, including Leeds Beckett business advice and mentoring, professional training and development, and access to graduate talent and research expertise. Corporate partners, including Lupton Fawcett solicitors, are on hand to offer free legal advice and support.
The Grade II listed Bond Terrace facility is also the first multiple gigabit bandwidth building in Wakefield.
Fran Parkinson, University Business Centre Operations Manager at Leeds Beckett, said: “Support from Leeds Beckett has been proven to almost double business sustainability, with a 95% business survival rate in the first year of trading. We are looking forward to welcoming entrepreneurs and business owners to our preview event and showing them how the University and our partners can support their business success.”
