Kick-start your New Year’s resolution with Leeds Beckett gyms
All of the University’s sports facilities, based at both the Headingley Campus and City Campus, are open for use by the general public with a sports membership. Membership is usually £225 for 12 months, however the University is offering a one-off opportunity to try the facilities for one month, starting when the sports centres re-open after Christmas on Monday 4 January, at the price of £18.
Facilities available include tennis and squash courts, a swimming pool, and an athletics centre. You can also choose from a range of strength and power, cardio/high intensity interval training, and toning and conditioning classes, including: Barbell Blitz, Body Tone, Cardio Tennis, Circuits, Kettlefit, Pilates, Spin, Squashercise, Women’s Self Defence, Yoga and Zumba, as well as a range of martial arts classes.
Community sports membership is available for a cost of £225 for 12 months in a single payment, made online or in person at either our Headingley Campus Sports Centre reception or City Campus Fitness Suite reception. Alternatively you can arrange to pay in three instalments of £75 at four monthly intervals.

These promote heart health and weight loss, help prevent osteoporosis, and improve your muscle strength, balance and flexibility. If losing a few pounds is a primary goal for after Christmas this year, why not start in January 2016?”

Also taking place during term time, after school or at weekends are a range of junior sport sessions, including American football, athletics, squash, tennis, netball, basketball, table tennis, and swimming.
