Industry insights, expert advice and practical tips for students at School's careers event
The annual fair welcomed 27 exhibitors and employers from the architecture, engineering and construction sectors to the Rose Bowl at City Campus.
Students who have made a lasting impression with employers at the Careers Fair in previous years have gone on to secure their dream jobs within the companies as a result of attending the event.
Those who attended received practical careers advice and interview tips from external experts, as well as from Senior Lecturers in the School of Built Environment and Engineering.
Dean of the School of Built Environment and Engineering, Professor Akintola Akintoye, said: “Our highly successful and highly regarded Built Environment careers fair brings together our future graduates and the industry in a unique recruitment opportunity which is vital in our ambition to improve employability and enhance the experience of our students.
“Supporting and developing the next generation of talent is at the heart of everything we do at the school and we wish to extend a thanks to all our industry and academic professionals who work with us to achieve this.”
The fair provides a platform for students to grow their professional network and provides academic staff with opportunities for future collaborations and site visits for the forthcoming year.
The School of Built Environment careers fair takes place every year and is open to any companies who have live graduate vacancies and student placements. Those interested in exhibiting at future fairs should first contact sobee@leedsbeckett.ac.uk for updates.
