Brexit - the next chapter
20 December 2018
Leeds Central MP Hilary Benn is to share his thoughts on the on-going Brexit debate at a free event at Leeds Beckett University.
The former Secretary of State for International Development will speak at the University’s Leeds Law School event, Law in Practice: Brexit - what next?
Deveral Capps, Dean of Leeds Law School, said the talk offered a rare chance to hear directly from a senior politician on the globally-important issue.
“Brexit is top of the news agenda and the ramifications of leaving the EU will be complex and far-reaching,” he said.
“As such, it will be fascinating to hear Hilary Benn’s thoughts and insights on what the future might hold for the country after the proposed 29 March EU leave date.”
Mr Benn, who is chair of the Exiting the European Union Select Committee, will present his views at Leeds Beckett’s city campus on Friday, 1 March 2019 from 12:00 - 13:00.Click here to reserve a free ticket.
