Leeds Beckett joins thousands in celebrating the 20th anniversary of Leeds Pride
Ready to celebrate inclusion, belonging and allyship, the parade was met with enthusiastic support from spectators lining the streets, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the city.
Participation in Leeds Pride reflects the university's commitment to creating an inclusive community where colleagues and students feel welcomed, valued and supported, while celebrating the diversity that strengthens our university and our city.
Marije Davidson, Associate Director for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Leeds Beckett said:
"It was fantastic to see so many colleagues and students coming together to represent Leeds Beckett at this year's Leeds Pride. As the city celebrated the event's 20th anniversary, it was a proud moment to stand alongside communities from across Leeds in celebrating inclusion, visibility and belonging. Pride is an opportunity to celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities, while reaffirming our commitment to maintaining an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to be themselves."
