Brian Noble's book launch teaches students a try or two about sporting success
The event allowed students and staff to integrate with the media and take part in an exclusive Question & Answer session with Brian where they were given the opportunity to ask him questions about the book and his successful career of leading teams in both sporting and corporate environments.
Brian was also joined by Rhinos legend and Leeds Met masters student Jamie Peacock who was coached by Brian during his earlier career with Bradford Bulls.
Second year Sports Business Management students, Sean Pasque and Alex Charlton, were two of the great line up of students who turned up armed with questions for the rugby stars.
Sean commented: "The whole event has been really good. It's given us an insight into real life scenarios and to what it takes to succeed in the industry and I've been able to relate it back to my modules where I learn about business concepts and how to engage in the real world."
Alex commented: "It's great being able to hear from a successful sports leader and has helped me in terms of writing my next assignment as well as my future."
Brian Noble joins the growing list of experts who our students have been able to engage with including chart toppers Rudimental, Cosmopolitan editor Louise Court and Labour Party Politician David Miliband. More opportunities to hear from industry experts can be found at our Employability and Enterprise fortnight. Between 14 and 25 January 2013 over 250 courses will be available including guest lectures, sports coaching qualifications, CV writing workshops plus many more.
