Future of packaging debated at Faraday
The event, 'New Possibilities and Inspiration in Paper and Board' addressed the ideas of smarter packaging, innovative food packaging powered by the sun and printing and use of electronics in packaging and was attended by Faraday Member companies such as SABMiller, Unilever, Mars and Fuji-seal. The event provided delegates and speakers with the opportunity to discuss their needs and demands on future packaging materials made of paper and board.
Cathy Barnes, Director of The Faraday Centre for Retail Excellence, said: "I am delighted that Faraday has partnered with the Packaging Arena. Our first hugely successful joint event introduced Faraday members from the packaging sector to a host of novel ideas from Swedish paper and board companies. I look forward to continuing our relationship over the coming months."
Sandra Eriksson of Packaging Arena added: "We are very excited about our partnership with Faraday and for our first joint event about new opportunities with fiber-based packaging solutions. We hope that the accumulated knowledge within the Packaging Arena also can be useful for Faraday's member companies. Our respective networks complement each other in an interesting way, and we look forward to continued cooperation and new joint activities that can bring the packaging industry forward."
