Honorary line-up for Leeds Metropolitan University summer graduations
The ceremonies and graduation celebrations will take place from Monday 22 to Friday 26 July at the University's Headingley Campus. Honorary awards will also be conferred upon music producer, engineer and film sound mixer, Dennis Weinreich and former Leeds Met Director of Sport and British Triathlon's Olympic Performance Manager for the London 2012 Games, Malcolm Brown MBE.
Barry Cryer OBE, one of Britain's most successful writers and performers - who has penned material for household names including Morecambe and Wise, Ronnie Barker, Bruce Forsyth and Billy Connelly - has contributed to the UK's entertainment industry for more than 50 years. He is to receive an honorary Doctorate of Arts on Tuesday 23 July.
Leeds-born actress Gaynor Faye, who currently plays fiery business woman Megan Macey in Emmerdale and formerly played Judy Mallett in Coronation Street, is to be awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts on Monday 22 July.
Leeds Metropolitan University Vice Chancellor, Professor Susan Price, said: "We are delighted to recognise such a wide variety of individuals who have made a significant contribution to their field. This year's awards are particularly varied, with inspiring people from a range of backgrounds including business, arts, law, sport and the entertainment industry. We are very much looking forward to welcoming them to our Headingley Campus to celebrate with us as we recognise the achievements of our staff and graduating students."

- Denise Jagger is a Partner at International law firm Eversheds.
- Keith Loudon is a leading stockbroker, Yorkshire businessman and former Lord Mayor of Leeds.
- Susan Brown is an award-winning artist.
