The team assembled ahead of their June volunteering project to prepare for their work with disabled young people. While in Poland they will be usinghippotherapy, which involves using motor and sensory input movements from horse-riding, to treat people with physical or mental challenges. The group of students who are from diverse courses such as Primary Education and Early Years Teaching, Business, Physical Education, Games Design and Nutrition will also be using their skills to teach English and run employability workshops for disadvantaged youths.
Some of the group have already been busy abseiling from Portland building at City Campus to raise money for the charity with more events including a sponsored row and a cake salecoming up soon. The team would like to thank everyone for theirsupport so far, including Adel Wood Equestrian Centre for their generosity in providing the session.
