One-of-a-kind leadership course launched at Leeds Met
The Postgraduate Certificate in Action Learning Facilitation is for those working as a coach, consultant, project manager or general manager, to learn how to get teams working together to the best of their ability.
Run by leading action learning academics, Professor Mike Pedler and Christine Abbott, the course reflects how action learning can play a major role in generating innovative thinking and problem solving in businesses.
Christine Abbott has worked extensively in this area, recently working with Macmillan Cancer Support delivering workshops to get management teams to consider and explore the future challenges and how they can address them, as well as conducting a review of their services to develop a collective perspective of where the organisation currently sits and where it needs to be in the future to drive patient care and research.
Christine and Mike collaborated this year to publish the book, 'Facilitating Action Learning', highlighting how leaders and managers can learn best by working together in a group, helping each other to find solutions to work problems as a practical guide.
