Redmayne-Bentley's Investment Manager set to talk at Leeds Met
An Investment Manager at Redmayne-Bentley Stockbrokers, David has worked with the company for a number of years and is known for his excellent and diversified knowledge on all aspects of the market. He also has a considerable amount of broadcast experience and has been invited by the likes of BBC News 24, CNBC and Radio 5 Live to comment on investment and the economy.
David will be talking about the current financial climate, the abuse of money and will highlight the influences and business prospects around us.
Speaking ahead of the lecture, he commented: "Very few people appreciate what money is and how it works and is created. The credit crunch is a direct result of our abuse of these key factors."
Redmayne-Bentley was established in 1875 and today is now one of the leading independently owned private client stockbrokers in the UK.
Paul Houghton, Principal Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Leeds Met, added: "Redmayne-Bentley are known and respected country-wide and as Investment Manager David Scott is an integral part of their team and their success. This lecture will be a great opportunity to hear what David has to say about the current market and business in Leeds. There is also an interactive question and answer session at the end of the talk."
This is the third in a series of six guest lectures by the Leeds Business School to be held before Christmas. Future sessions include talks hosted by Geoff Newton, Executive Director of the Tennis Foundation; Steve Edge, Founder of Steve Edge Design Ltd and Simon Bitcliffe, Managing Director of Webmart.
