Sport and Law Conference set for Leeds Met
The annual event will run from 1-5pm on Wednesday 30 April and will take place in the Lewis Jones Suite at Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Entry is free to all university students (not just Leeds Met students) and is priced at £75 per place (or £35 per place for not-for-profit attendees and academics).
Dr Hazel Hartley, Course Leader for MA Sport Law and Society at Leeds Met, commented: "You do not need to be directly involved in sport law to find this conference relevant to your sporting and working lives. Attendees will have the chance to engage with leading sport law academics and professionals on a range of current topics, including concussion in modern rugby and responses in criminal law to social media conduct within sport.
"The conference will also address equality and diversity in rugby league and the Hillsborough football disaster legal processes 25 years on."
