Sustainability think tank convenes at Leeds Met
TRUGis a new Leeds-based 'holistic sustainability think tank', hosted by Leeds Metropolitan University (through the Leeds Sustainability Institute), the University of Leeds and Permaculture UK, which hopes to expand toinclude a wide cross-section of interested partner groups across the city.
The founding seminar will be held at Old Broadcasting House on Wednesday 17 October from 13:00 to 16:30.
In addition to Gary Grant's keynote speech, a welcome from Chair and Leeds Metropolitan lecturer, Tom Bliss, short presentations from the founding TRUG team and round table discussions will take place to focus on the planned aims of TRUG. To close the session there will be a wide-ranging open-ended debate on how the group can begin to make cities tryly and permanently sustainable.
