Ageing Futures
The Ageing Futures cluster is an interdisciplinary cluster of researchers who use diverse methodologies to research experiences of ageing and the social and policy impacts of an ageing population.
Current work within the cluster is aligned around five themes:
- Housing transitions in later life
- Sociologies of everyday ageing
- Policy futures for an ageing population
- Creative methods and participatory research
- Future imaginaries and speculative fiction
The cluster welcomes new members at all career stages and from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who have research interests in these areas.
We hold events to assist colleagues to develop their research, share findings from their projects, explore creative methodologies and use their research to develop impact in policy and practice.
Our cluster is aligned with the themes of Inclusive and Prosperous Communities and Greener Sustainable Communities, contributing to Leeds Beckett University and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences core research priorities.
