The Centre for Knowledge Exchange (CKE) is an enterprise hub based in the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing that connects the school’s research, knowledge and expertise with the regional built environment sector.

The CKE builds the school’s business relationships with industry through a comprehensive programme of seminars, conferences and networking events tackling the most relevant sector issues, providing a platform to highlight innovation and new thinking in the built environment field. The CKE also works with key industry figures to develop partnerships for student research as well as having a history of providing training and consultancy in key areas, such as digital technologies.

The CKE runs two flagship projects; thinkBIM a network promoting the acceleration of digital adoption in the built environment sector and Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber. Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber is the regional partner to Constructing Excellence, a national platform for driving improvement and collaboration within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sectors.

The CKE is supported in its endeavours by a proactive group of sponsors, partners and individual ambassadors, all recognised as regional and national leaders in their respective fields.
