Choosing a Senior Mental Health Lead Training Course

Access training

The Department for Education (DfE) offered a grant for a senior member of school or college staff to access quality-assured training to develop the knowledge and skills to implement an effective whole school or college approach to mental health and wellbeing in their setting.

During this grant programme the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools was the quality assurance partner to the DfE.

Choosing a course

Whilst the grant offer has now closed, some providers are still offering senior mental health lead training for schools or colleges who are able to self-fund. Please note that the providers and courses listed below were quality assured during the life of the programme, but as of January 2025 these quality assurance processes are no longer in place and the provider and course list is no longer being updated.
