Sonya Robinson

Sonya Robinson joined the Post Award Team at Leeds Beckett University in early 2021 on a fixed-term contract, where she successfully contract-managed the ESF-funded programme WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking). With over 20 years of experience in contract performance management across a diverse range of employment and training projects, she brought a wealth of expertise to the role.

Following the successful completion of the WECAN programme, Sonya secured a permanent position within the Funding Support Team. In this role, she supports both pre- and post-award initiatives across the University, contributing to the effective delivery of research and funding activities.

Although new to the higher education sector, Sonya brings a strong can-do attitude and a high level of professionalism to her work, quickly becoming a valued member of the team.
