This guide contains information for staff about the Academic Integrity Tutorial at Leeds Beckett University.

The Academic Integrity Tutorial is designed to help students to make sure their work follows good academic practice. The aim is to save them time and effort and avoid problems with plagiarism and other issues. It does this by providing:

  • An explanation of what academic integrity is
  • Details of Leeds Beckett University's expectations, regulations and processes relating to academic integrity
  • Guidance on essential skills and resources to help you with your work

As a Course Team, you can decide how the tutorial is used by your students.

We have included a link to the Academic Integrity Tutorial in the default menu for new modules and course groups.

Staff and students can click on this link to access the tutorial.

The first time your students access the tutorial, they will need to click the Enrol button at the bottom left of the tutorial's menu. This will enrol them on the tutorial, and they will then be able to find it in their Modules list in MyBeckett.

The Academic Integrity Tutorial is a set of learning materials which will enhance your students understanding of Academic Integrity. The tutorial is capped with a quiz which is 8 multiple choice questions.

To enable you to better monitor engagement with the AI tutorial, we have separated the quiz from the tutorial so you can embed it within your own module and can quickly and easily see which students have completed.
