We are celebrating Global Engagement Week!

See how the Library can support you!

Global Engagement Week takes place from 19th – 23rd November in partnership with Leeds Beckett Students’ Union to promote opportunities and develop students who are globally engaged. The Library is committed to supporting this development and has a wide range of resources to aid students in “global engagement”.

We are celebrating Global Engagement Week

Library catalogue

Search for books & eBooks on the Library catalogue to support you in your ‘global’ studies.   A search for books on “global citizenship” provides this list of results. Change your search terms for different results, for example, “global ethics” or “cosmopolitanism and global”.

How to search Discover

The Library’s academic search engine Discover will search for resources from electronic journals and databases as well as books from the Library catalogue.  Please see the Discover FAQs for help and guidance on using this tool to find the relevant resources you need.

Subject support pages

Find help and information on your subject support web pages, just click on the relevant subject area and you will find appropriate resources for your study as well as the contact details for your Academic Librarian.

Skills for Learning

Skills for Learning provide lots of information about being a ‘Global student’. You can ‘consider your own global perspective and how to improve it’, see the Global Outlook section for more details.
