Handy Hints for Hand Ins!

Whether you have to print and bind your assignments or submit electronically the Library can help.

Handy Hints for Hand Ins

Printing

Printing defaults to black and white and double sided so make any changes you need before you send to print and ensure you have enough money on your Card. You can top up online via MyBeckett or at the Kiosks on the ground floor of the libraries. But if you're leaving this year only add small amounts as we can't refund outstanding credit.

There are printers on all floors of the Library, as well as ones in social learning spaces, but remember to go to a colour printer if you're printing in colour. They can be busy around hand-in times so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.

You can also send your work to print from your own device. Take a look at our video to find out how.

Posters (A2, A1 and A0) can be printed by the Print Room at Headingley Campus, James Graham Building.

Binding

You can bind your work yourself. Buy a binding kit (binding comb, black card rear cover, clear PVC front cover) from Library staff for £1, and follow the instructions in our video.

The Print Room will also bind most assignments for you. You'll need to pay for this service in cash or by credit/debit card, you're not able to use the credit on your i-Print account.

Submitting Online

Take a look at the Assignment Survival Guide for information about submitting online via Blackboard and Turnitin.

There are also lots of useful videos on our YouTube channel from submitting assignments to downloading submission receipts.

Please contact Library staff if you have any queries about submitting or printing your work.
