There are many different ways to develop the academic skills you need to succeed at University:
If you've not already done so, enrol on one of our Academic Skills modules in MyBeckett to get started. There are versions for each year of study at University as well as a dedicated module for International Students and a tutorial on Academic Integrity covering referencing, plagiarism and the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence tools.
You can also check out our Skills for Learning website which contains advice, resources and activities on the academic skills you'll need throughout your studies.
Our Academic Support Team host online workshops for academic skill development, as well as Study Cafes which help you to focus. You can book onto these via MyHub.
Each subject at University has a dedicated subject page where the Library consolidates specific resources for your course and provide guidance on finding information. You can find contact details for your Academic Librarian on these pages and book one-to-one appointments if you need further support.
