Develop your academic skills

There are lots of ways the Library can help you develop the academic skills you need to succeed at University:

Developing your academic skills

If you've not already done so enrol on our Study Smart module in MyBeckett to get you started at University and tips on tackling your first assignment.

Check out our Skills for Learning website - it contains advice, resources and activities on university study, academic writing, maths and IT skills.

Online workshops are also available, just book via MyHub. We also run weekly online Study Cafes so you can work alongside your peers and an Academic Skills Tutor.

Take a look at your Library subject page for guidance on finding library resources for your course.

The University’s academic integrity tutorial is available in MyBeckett to help you understand what academic integrity is, and how you can make sure your work follows good academic practice

Make sure you’re referencing correctly with Quote Unquote. You can also organise your references with Endnote.

Online appointments with Academic Librarians and Academic Skills and Maths Tutors are also available by filling out the form on our Get Help page.
